French Open Record Holders (Professional Era)

Bjorn Borg won the French Open in 1974 and 1975, and in four consecutive years from 1978 to 1981. He also (even more famously) won Wimbledon in five consecutive years, from 1976 to 1980.

He reached four US Open finals, between 1976 and 1981, but lost all four. He played only once in the Australian Open: in 1974, aged 17, when he lost in the third round.

Rafa Nadal has won the French Open a staggering twelve times, to date. His first title was in 2005; since then, the only years in which he hasn't won it have been 2009, 2015 and 2016.

Nadal has also won the US Open four times (2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019), Wimbledon twice (2008 and 2010) and the Australian Open once (2009). That's a total of 19 Grand Slam singes titles (and counting).
